Freeads Classifieds has moved domain name. Whereas we used to be at http://uk.freeads.net/ we're now at http://www.freeads.co.uk/. This transition has been seamless so you should not have noticed anything. All old URLs will continue to work for the foreseeable future but we urge you to update your bookmarks as soon as possible.

Version 5 of the Freeads Classifieds website has just been deployed. In addition to a number of fixes and improvements we have also rolled out two major new features, section homepages and SMS bump ups.

Section homepages: Where previously you would have seen simple lists of sub-categories you will now see content-rich pages with links to relevant content. This is just the beginning and we'll be adding more content and improving with the layout in the coming weeks and months.

SMS bump ups: You can now use your mobile phone to bump your ad back up to the top of the listings as often as you want to. For details log in to My Freeads and follow the instructions.

We've just completed the deployment of what's internally known as version 4 of the Freeads Classifieds website. While this release includes no headline feature changes it does represent a massive update to the underlying technology that powers the site and it will enable a number of features that have been on the todo list for a while.

The new Freeads Classifieds messaging system has gone live. This brings the conversation between buyers and sellers into the Freeads website allowing us to protect your privacy even further and we can also moderate messages to minimise your exposure to unscrupulous users.

Localisation changes have just gone live. This is a big update that adds more than 40 local sites to Freeads Classifieds.

Initial version of the iPhone/mobile interface launched at http://m.freeads.net/.

Big update today. Here are the main changes...
* The place ad process has been completely rewritten and now incorporates registration/login.
* Postcode to town lookup has been greatly improved and should now be a lot more accurate.
* Various minor bugs were also fixed.
